A leading financial organisation are currently looking for a Senior Solution Architect to join the team on a permanent basis. Ideally you will come from a strong financial background.

You'll be responsible for providing strategic direction, expertise and leadership as follows.

. Strategic direction setting and road map preparation
. Produce and deliver high quality high and low level designs to meet business objectives and satisfy all relevant regulatory and operational risk controls
. Propose and set society patterns and standards and relentlessly apply them and seek maximum reuse
. Participate in project priming, help to build the case for investment as part of the Business Planning and Enterprise Architecture process, involvement at early feasibility and ideation to shape and align to strategic technology direction
. Build high confidence of delivery quality and drive consistency of design across initiatives
. Analyse technical dependencies and work with architecture peers to understand enterprise-wide linkages, impact of changes/slippages, technology risks, issues and debts and feedback areas of IT fragility into the IT backlog of work.
. Proactively bring clarity to any solution uncertainty and influence, lead towards successful business solution outcomes
. Ensure an appropriate level of governance is applied to technology solution choices
. Provide leadership and direction to maintain solution integrity, ensuring requirements are met
. Support business case and project planning including feasibility studies within waterfall and agile deliveries

You will:

• Be highly effective at both written and verbal communication with substantial experience of developing highly effective working relationships with key stakeholders and colleagues at all levels
• Have a solid understanding of architecture, associated strategies and frameworks
• Have well developed interpersonal, analytical, planning and organising skills, an attention to detail, a high level of accuracy and the ability to work on your own initiative
• Have significant relevant architecture experience gained within a solution oversight role
• Have previous experience in a senior role with a proven record of accomplishment
