Customer Technical Support Engineer

Working within the Broadcast/Telecommunications sector we are searching for a Customer Technical Support Engineer to be based in Hannover, Germany and provide on site and remote support services. Working as an extension to the NOC, Support and Project Teams you will act as the primary contact for technical and administrative tasks.

Daily duties:

Handle system administration, update configuration settings.
Troubleshoot, analysis, follow up, resolution of incidents/problems
Carry out corrective maintenance
Close liaison with our teams in France and Customer Success to handle complex situations.
Primary contact for clients, third party suppliers during incident resolution and deployment for our client
Primary contact for technical and administrative onsite activities requested by our Project team (may also include cabling, racking, patching)
Plan and carry out planned technical operations (testing, updating)
Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks on the clients ecosystem
Update documentation and provide detailed case based activity reports, internally and towards client

Profile required

Experience working in a technical support organization for a telecom broadcast operator
Good working knowledge of Linux systems, ELK, AWS
Good understanding of datacenter level IP network (including protocols, security and analysis tools)
Good working knowledge on server architecture and datacenter storage solutions
The target systems will be our application Servers using Linux, CentOs and RedHat as well as third party systems (Servers, storage, switch)

Fluency in oral and written English
