One of our clients, a blue chip global organisation in London has an exciting new opportunity for an exceptional and passionate lead developer/architect to join their team. This role will initially work closely with their external consultants who have developed there proprietary broking and market intelligence platform, before taking ownership of maintaining and developing this business-critical expert system written in clean JavaScript, HTML and CSS and SQL database and API integrations. This role will report into the Head of IT, but will be working across the company, developing solutions for our brokers, research team and operations team to meet their specific needs.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

Hands on lead developer and architect
Develop and maintain a business-critical expert system written in clean JavaScript, HTML and CSS with SQL database and API integrations
Working closely with all system users to meet their specific needs

Essential Skills and Experience:

Minimum of 10 years' experience, preferably with experience being an architect/lead developer on systems using JavaScript, HTML, CSS
5+ years hands on experience with NodeJS. MariaDB/MySQL
5+ years hands on experience with API/JSON/Rest integrations

Desired Skills:

Experience with Linux/Unix. Configuring NginX and other services on Servers
Experience with AWS or similar cloud hosting services, for potential future shift away from the self-hosted system in place
An understanding or general interest in broking is a plus
