Web Copywriter

Our client is a large local government organisation and looking for an experienced Web Copywriter to join their team

This is initially a 3 month contract which may be extended for the right candidate

You will

Scope, write, edit and publish new, user-focussed website content using Drupal
Write content in plain English, following Merton's corporate standards and approval processes

Ensure that content is designed around user needs, identified based on:

o source material provided by colleagues across the council
o feedback from users and stakeholders
o analytics data both from the site and from search engines
o Legacy content

Ensure that content is relevant, accurate, current and optimised both for customers and search engines
Avoid unnecessary detail and jargon in favour of clear, clean, crisp web content (that still has enough depth to be useful)
Making sure customer journeys are the best they can be
