Job Title - Technical IT Support Manager (must have good knowledge of VMWare)

An IT Support Manager with a strong technical background on VMWare, Storage and Firewalls is required to join a busy and fast paced IT Managed Service Provide.

The role is working 5 days a week on-site can be based in either Orpington or Rochester in Kent.

It is essential that the Technical IT Support Manager has a good all-round technical knowledge of VMWare, Storage and Firewalls. My client is looking for someone who is up to date with technology who has had the exposure off logging into devices and making changes.

The main focus of the IT Support Manager role is to be responsible for managing a team of 12 Technical Support Engineers including 1st,2nd and 3rd line support. You must have fantastic leadership skills, strong communication skills and have the ability to build great partnerships across a Team. You must demonstrate great customer facing service, have great attention to detail, be a critical thinker and have strong technical knowledge.

As the IT Support Manager your main responsibility will be to lead your team to deliver high performance in the areas of IT Service Management and Support. You will be responsible for day to day operations, lead regular team meetings, ensure financial targets are met, maintain customer satisfaction, manage staff resources and efficiently manage information received from Clients, Partners and staff.

The successful candidate will either be an IT Support Manager in their current role or be looking for the next step in their career, moving from either a 2nd line or 3rd line support role. This is the perfect role for you if you are looking for long term career progression. You will office based 80% of the time, however you may be required to visit client sites too. Although this role is a Monday to Friday position, our client does have expectations that you would be willing to work some weekends and the occasional evening if required too.

Permanent Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum
