This position has two major purposes:
- Asset Management for all IT assets including Hardware, Software and Contracts
- Procurement of all IT products to ensure approved, supportable technologies are purchased.
Daily duties and responsibilities:
- Maintains IT hardware and software inventory in ITSM-based system.
- Tracks copies of hardware purchases, warranties, maintenance agreements and vendor contracts.
- Ensures that hardware components are ordered in advance of implementation and start dates.
- Tracks copies of software licenses, warranties, maintenance agreements, and vendor contracts.
- Works with management to determine appropriate upgrade/replacement timeframes of assets.
- Performs inventories and usage monitoring of all IT assets.
- Assists management in developing and implementing policies and procedures related to Asset Management
- Supports standardization of equipment to lower total costs.
- Actively manages the procurement process from order placement through receipt of products and subsequent payment of invoices by Accounting.
- Assists management in developing and implementing purchasing related policies and procedures.
- Audits, reconciles, processes, and reports on procurement related activities.
- Works with management to create Service Requests for standard procurement procedures.
- Maintains communication with suppliers during procurements in order to ensure timely delivery while maintaining compliance with the requirements of the procurement documents.
- Establishes relationships with new suppliers and develops new supply sources.
Experience Required/Training:
- Experience with ITSM Asset Management tools and ITIL
- Experience with software licensing agreements and maintenance contracts from the following vendors: Microsoft, Cisco, Adobe, etc.
- Experience with hardware agreements from the following vendors: Dell, Cisco, etc.
- Supply chain experience preferred
- Knowledge of PCs, Servers, networking, and other IT-related hardware and software is preferred
Professional Certification/License
- ITIL certification is preferred.
