You MUST have the following:

• Excellent experience as a Senior or Lead Penetration Tester/Penetration Test Analyst/Penetration Security Expert
• Proven ability working in Windows and Linux environments
• Scripting ability in Python, Java, Bash, Korn, Shell, C++ or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders

The following is DESIRABLE, not essential:

• Experience in finance
• Information security/penetration testing certifications
• Experience in vulnerability scanning, incident response, forensics investigation, threat hunting, threat Intel., automation

Role: Lead Penetration Tester (Testing Information Security Penetration Test Analyst Cyber Security Expert Windows Linux Python Java Shell Korn Bash Scripting Technology Finance Front Office Trading Software Financial Services Investment Vulnerability Scanning Incident Response Forensics Automation) required by our financial services client in London. You will work in a central security department of almost 30 analysts and engineers. The penetration testing team will be you and two others. You will operate as the Penetration Testing Lead. This will mean you will work with the Information Security Manager and other managers within technology to collate and understand tasks and then prioritise and delegate them to the team. You will be involved in hiring as they look to further expand the team. This is a largely hands-on position and man-management of the team will be the responsibility of the manager but you will be his deputy and contribute towards the planning of longer term initiatives and strategy. You will mentor the junior and be involved in 80% penetration testing and 20% threat hunting, threat Intel Scripting and automation. This remaining 20% could also include incident response or forensic investigation if you were interested.

The environment is Windows and Linux, with a lot of Legacy applications. There is a good number of applications that still need to be penetration tested. A lot of your time will be working with other information security teams and the other teams in technology to find out what else needs penetration testing.

Experience with Qualys and in finance would be desirable but is not essential. Similarly, Python would be advantageous but is not essential. To a large degree, you will be able to dictate your own tools here. Excellent communication and personal skills will be required in order to build relationships and collaborate around the department.

Salary: £100k - £130k + 20-30% Bonus + Pension
