A new and exciting opportunity for a hands-on IT operations manager to join a small growing market leading supplier of high-quality medical products. As a self-starter, you will enjoy leading the technology operating functions for a family-owned business who are looking to expand. Will have the opportunity to deploy your experience to enable the business further through the use of technology.

What will my role as an IT operations manager entail?

• Managing and developing multiple supplier contract relationships
• Ensure the installation and configuration of computer hardware, operating systems and applications are carried out efficiently and effectively, comfortable acting as 1st to 3rd line support for the whole business.
• Align senior stakeholders and business goals to technology solutions to meet objectives including opportunities for automation.
• Lead on the full life cycle of projects utilising your strong project management skills and experience.
• Providing expert IT advice on projects, including integration of new Company systems and a hands-on approach with any IT issues
• Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organisation
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement

Requirements for the successful IT operations manager

• Experience in managing external supplier relationships to include contract review, negotiation, and Service Level Agreements
• Experience managing hands-on IT issues onsite
• HND or above equivalent in Information Communications Technology, Computer Science, or computer related qualification; or demonstrable experience of relevant IT support experience
• Prince 2 or similar project management methodology experience and a strong track record of effective full life cycle project delivery
• Experience working in an eCommerce environment is desirable as is experience of evolving reporting using PowerBI, Tableau or Microsoft Dynamics
