Post-doctoral Research Position in Retinal Circuitry, Northwestern University, salary above NIH scales
A postdoctoral position is available in area of Retinal Neuroscience in the laboratories of Dr. Yongling Zhu and Dr. Steven DeVries at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago , U.S.A. Our labs study the structure and function of neural circuits underlying the encoding of visual information in the mammalian retina. We use a combination of mouse genetics, viral tracing, optogenetics, electrophysiology, and two-photon imaging for circuit dissection and manipulation.
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a PhD. in Neuroscience or related fields. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in electrophysiology and/or two-photon imaging. Applicants are expected to have good understanding of neuroscience, and to take an active role in shaping the research plan.
