Role:
An innovative finance start up company are on the lookout for passionate Data Analyst to join their close knit team at a very exciting time. The chosen Data Analyst will be working closely with the data loving CEO , this role is perfect for a Data Analyst who is perhaps invested in start ups or is looking for incredible career progression routes. As the companies first Data Analyst on the team they are looking for somebody to hit the ground running and have the goal to bring on other Junior Data Analysts into the company.
Ideally the Data Analyst has a background in finance or shares a common interest within the sector. In addition to this if the Data Analyst has previous experience which isn’t solely within Data do not hesitate to apply as you may be exactly what the company are looking for – adding value to other areas within the company.
Responsibilities:
Will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions
Interpreting data, analysing results using statistical techniques
Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases
Useful Skills:
Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
Experience using data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks)
Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
