Two fantastic and brand new opportunities to join a successful and fast growing data company as a Systems Analyst. There are two positions on offer, one permanent and one on a 12 month fixed contract working directly for the business due to a specific project.
The role is based in Surrey, short walking distance to a train station and plenty of local parking available. The company offer hybrid working of two days in the office and three days working from home per week.
The role is to provide support software systems and applications throughout the Software Development Lifecycle that require design and maintenance working with SQL.
Working closely with the Business Analysts and development team, you will review and clarify user requirements. Design new software applications and make amendments to existing applications as directed.
Providing clear and concise technical specification documents, specifying both functional and non-functional features.
You will be required to provide technical support training as required to users of around the businesses software and systems. There are several existing and new projects to get involved with and plenty of opportunity to develop your skills further with extra training and to progress your career in the future.
Skills and experience required:
* Min of 1-2 years working in a Systems Analyst role
* Proficient using SQL to manipulate data
* Strong attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills
* Familiar with SOAP and REST API’s, JSON and XML
* Strong understanding of UML
* Intermediate in Excel and have the ability to present data
* Basic experience in one or more scripting code
* Solid understanding of databases and data models
* Able to write clear Functional specifications based on user requirements
* Well versed in modern web application development patterns and frameworks
* A collaborative team player
* Clear presentation and outstanding communication skills
* Good listener and can understand the needs of customers and colleagues
