Systems Analyst – Barnsley - £30,000 - £35,000
Clemence Rogers are working with a well-established company based in Barnsley. Our client is looking for a System Analyst to work as part of their IT team to manage, develop, support, and enhance the continued global migration to Sage X3 ERP in the UK and Europe.
This is an exciting opportunity to work for a market-leading global manufacturer and they are open to hearing from graduates as well as more experienced professionals who are looking for the next step in their career path.
The Systems & Data Analyst will also assist with the support and development of existing systems, data and reporting via SQL and our Business Intelligence (BI) Apps.
Key responsibilities of a Systems Analyst:
• Assisting with the migration to a brand-new ERP system (SAGE X3) for one of our locations in the UK as part of the Core Project Team
• Developing SQL query-based reporting and analysis using SQL Server Management Studio
• Data Exporting, Data Cleansing & Data Importing across all sites.
• BI Reporting/App Development (QlikView/SEI/Power BI/Vecta CRM)
• Helping to create Process Maps of existing and proposed new procedures.
• Assisting the Head of Technology with Global Data Governance across all sites
• Assisting the Head of Technology to manage, test and document all Change Requests
• Crystal Reports Development
• Analysis and testing of new processes and upgrades/patches of systems
• Raising data quality and performance levels in all departments
• International travel is required.
The Ideal Systems Analyst:
• Degree level IT related course and/or 2+ years’ experience in similar role
• SQL Query/Report Writing/SSMS
• Advanced MS Office Skills, particularly Excel Data Cubes/Pivot tables/ODBC/OLEDB
• Advanced knowledge & understanding of relational databases and data management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Desired Skills but not Essential:
• Knowledge of the Manufacturing industry
• Knowledge/Experience of ERP Systems and Processes
• Crystal Reports
• Power BI / QlikView BI Tools
• Process Mapping
• Sage X3 ERP
• Previous experience of being on an ERP migration/implementation project
• Previous experience/management of EDI
