Service Desk Manager

Working on exciting government and MOD projects
Leading a growing service desk team
Up to £47,000 per annum, Farnborough based A rare & exciting opportunity has come up with a leading communication solutions company who provide mission critical systems to some of the biggest & most important projects in the UK such as the fight against the Covid pandemic & Humanitarian relief in Ukraine. This business is truly at the forefront of cutting-edge wireless network technology and has won several awards for "best place to work" and being a "fast-growing tech company".
They currently have a small service desk function consisting of 3 engineers and are looking to add a service desk manager as well as 2 more 1st line engineers. As the Service desk manager, you are responsible for the quick and effective resolution of customer queries. You will manage the support team and ticketing systems ensuring that issues are resolved as effectively as possible and inline with any contract KPIs.
Key Skills:
A technical support background and history of working in a service desk environment
Managing or leading a team of service desk engineers
ITIL Qualification
Strong knowledge and experience of ticketing systems
Solid understanding of network support principlesBeneficial skills:
Qualifications such as CCNA, CCNP
Experience building a new service desk function within a company
