Position: Maintenance Fitter
Hours of Work: 4 on 4 off (Days Only)
Sector: Engineering (renewables)
Bias: Mechanically biased
Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 + company benefits package
Nicholas Associates are recruiting for a Mechanical biased Engineer on behalf of a rapidly growing multi-sector food solutions company. The team is at the forefront of the industry, some of the biggest companies in the country are acquiring the services of the client.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct risk assessments before starting work.
Keep logs and job sheets up to date.
Perform scheduled maintenance on plant equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, and valves.
Operate designated equipment as needed.
Address and resolve process alarms on monitoring system.
Complete reactive tasks from the defect list, take readings from various meters, and complete check sheets.
Assist with contractors and third-party services and maintain a clean work area.
Follow site Health and Safety Regulations, attend required training.
Install and maintain equipment with minimal interruption to production.
Perform other duties and projects as needed.
Assist other mechanical/operational departments as required.
General:

Identify and participate in training and development as needed.
Maintain high motivation, attendance, and conduct standards.
Skills, Experience, and qualifications:
Recognised Apprenticeship/Qualifications
Have a minimum of a CGLI or equivalent
Basic IT skills
Have familiarity with factory maintenance
Extensive mechanical experience (seals, bearings, pipework, fittings)
Experience with breakdowns
Dual skilled (mechanical and electrical is desirable)
