We have an excellent opportunity for a Payments Business Analyst (PCI-DSS):

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

Demonstrable experience working as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst or System Analyst on bespoke back-end systems developed in-house
Consistently exhibits core Business Analysis competencies (Strategic thinker, trusted adviser, clear communicator, analytical thinker, problem solver and knowledge sharer) and skills (business and technical domain modelling, requirements elicitation, analysis, definition, and management) in supporting the discovery, design, build and delivery of business and technology solutions for projects
Demonstrate 'system analysis' skills required to identify impacts of changes, including understanding of legacy back-end systems, APIs, database structures and system functional logic. Includes experience of liaising with developers, testers, designers, and architects to help shape solutions
Ability to identify and manage stakeholders, and to build close working relationships across the business and with suppliers
Experience of data manipulation in Excel, analysis of database structures and simple database querying using SQL
OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED

Experience working as a BA in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban) including use of associated ceremonies (sprint, sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review, sprint retrospective, 3 amigos)
Experience of requirements elicitation using various techniques such as interviews and workshop facilitation
Experience as a technical business analyst including creation of detailed requirements (functional and non-functional), epics, user stories and acceptance test criteria and supporting these with wireframes, diagrams etc. when needed
Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time within a business function and to prioritise work according to the business needs
Experience of Gap analysis including As Is and To Be states, documenting current and future business processes, using process flow diagrams, data models, use cases and other BA tools and techniques
Creating Agile style deliverables using collaborative tools such as Jira and Confluence
DESIRABLES

Previous experience working with payments processing systems or providers
Familiarity with PCI (Payment Card Industry) and PSD2 (Payment Services Directive 2) standards
Experience with airline systems (such as reservation, inventory, DCS)
Certification as a Business Analyst or a Product Owner (issued by organisations such as IIBA, BCS, Scrum Alliance
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

Works with stakeholders to define, challenge and document clear requirements using the appropriate techniques for elicitation, analysis of current systems, prioritisation etc. to ultimately gain acceptance from all stakeholders
Accountable for preparing, evaluating, and documenting requirements within an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) delivery framework
Driving the analysis of business requirements and delivering functional and non-functional requirements to timescales agreed with the Project and Technology Managers
Works within their team and collaborates with delivery and change teams to review and prioritise new work requests through the appropriate governance, evaluating changes to processes and systems, setting business expectations from the start
Facilitates evaluation of effort and carries out impact analysis of requested change, clearly identifying issues, risks, assumptions, and dependencies
Examine the 'As Is' and 'To Be' states of products and applications to perform gap analysis
Accountable to regularly analyse the functionality and performance of legacy applications and products in collaboration with business owners, product owners and technical teams raising new backlog items or supporting business case development where appropriate
Ensures that the full impact of business change considers dependant processes and systems by carrying out structured analysis while making appropriate representations using various tools such as process models, data models, integration use cases etc.
Accountable to ensure all backlog items consider both functional and non-functional requirements including consideration for service design, transition, and activation
Accountable to agree and produce prioritised backlog items ensuring that these items satisfy the 'definition of ready'. Ensuring all backlog items are clearly communicated and documented to agreed standards, providing continued support until they satisfy the 'definition of done'
Works with business areas and technical teams to define appropriate and compliant solutions and processes in order to meet business requirements and scope where required
Actively contributes during all agile ceremonies ensuring product requirements are understood throughout development cycles, closely collaborating with product owners, testers, and developers
Manages documentation using standard templates and available tools (Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart etc.)
Stays up to date with business analysis practices and methodology
