Senior Data Scientist – Manchester - £80,000 - £100,000 – Hybrid Working model
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a leading financial services organisation as a Senior Data Scientist. We are looking for a talented and diligent individual to focus on extracting greater value from the operational data. The programme looks to implement a cloud-based data analytics platform into their growing tech stack.
Roles & Responsibilities
Successful track record in being the analytical lead in data science / analytics projects / teams
Ability to liaise with stakeholders to understand their requirements and design relevant analytical solutions - communicating the often-complex results of which to non-analytical audiences in an engaging and transparent way
Significant experience in successfully applying appropriate analytical techniques to solve business problems: predictive modelling, classification analyses / customer segmentation, clustering, pricing, text and speech analytics, time series etc.
Significant experience in developing analytical solutions to support business
Proven experience in creating automated data analytics solutions with Power BI or similar tools
Produce analytic output in Power BI or similar data visualisation tools
Willingness to work with data Stewards and engineers to be the guardian of good data practice
Essential skills
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
Strong experience with Python, advanced Excel and SQL skills
Proven experience with data modelling and wrangling skills
Knowledge of ML techniques and collaborating with ML engineers
Cloud analytics experience- GCP, AWS, Azure or Snowflake
Excellent problem-solving skills
Salary & Benefits
£80,000 - £100,000 PA
Hybrid working model
Annual bonus up to 15%
