Medlock Partners are delighted to be working with our client, a well established and successful Manufacturing Group based in North Northamptonshire, as they look to appoint a Business Analyst / System Analyst in a newly created role. The role will sit within the IT Department and will be responsible for all IT analysis across the group.
Responsibilities:
Providing a Project Management & Business Analysis service for all key Group IT projects, predominantly around Microsoft NAV/Business central ERP systems.
Initiating, implementing and managing Business Systems related projects across the Group
Business Process Mapping, taking functional and business requirement specifications through:
Defining, scoping, process mapping, gathering requirements and eliciting business / software requirements and functionality
Creating the functional / technical documentation.
Work closely with the design, testing and functionality teams within both internal and external providers.
Taking ownership of each project from start to finish, including:
Provide support and advice on programme/project risk and stakeholder management whilst liaising with the rest of the Group IT Team to ensure the project is aligned with the Group’s IT Technology Principals.
Working closely with colleagues and managing expectations throughout projects
Reporting on progress and any issues that arise/solutions found
Evaluating projects once complete, and looking at areas of improvement and further development
Management of the day-to-day business improvement and IT projects such as:
software updates to the Group’s Business Systems
process improvement initiatives
business application projects with all the Group’s companies
Continually striving to improve consistent business processes throughout the Group.
Management of third party IT Support Companies, ensuring that performance is acceptable and that SLAs are met
Requirements:
As a Project Manager & Business Systems professional, your key skills and competencies will include:
Solid understanding of project methodologies
Good knowledge of standards, tools and techniques used within the profession
Be an accomplished communicator with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
Exhibit authority and leadership, takes responsibility, is independent and self-starting
Demonstrate teamwork at the highest level, highly collaborative approach, among the first to volunteer to help others succeed
Applicants with experience in ERP solutions, especially Microsoft NAV / Business Central, including Finance, Logistics, Warehousing, Supply Chain, Freight Forwarding or Manufacturing would be regarded as advantageous.
The ability to understand quickly end to end business processes
Be able to engage and influence employees, peers in IT, service consumers and business management teams
Be highly customer and delivery focused, meeting and exceeding customer expectations
This is an excellent opportunity for a business and systems minded professional to join a newly formed Group IT team with the key focus of helping the business grow through well implemented and robust IT systems
