Java Software Engineer - Java, AWS, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APi’s, unit testing, SOLID, UK remote
A leading digital transformation consultancy is looking to hire expert software engineers who have experience in;
Building and maintaining Microservices using Java 8 and Spring Boot
Documenting RESTful APIs
Ensuring code meets code standards (code reviews, unit testing, etc.)
Using CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
You will be proficient in designing, building, testing, and maintaining modern software applications by applying best practice and patterns. This is especially important to them across the following 3 areas of security, scalability, and performance.
You will have experience in contributing regularly to technical decisions including architecture, estimation, product planning, user requirement creation, and the overall product direction in a collaborative environment.
As they are working in a microservices environment, good experience of design and development across multiple layers of an application is a must as well as having the foresight and enjoyment of mentoring junior team members.
Any CI/CD knowledge would be advantageous in this team too but certainly not essential
