Data Engineer - Fintech - Remote Working - £60,000 - £65,000 + Excellent Benefits
Overview:
A global FTSE250 Fintech organisation with over a billion-pound turnover are looking to recruit an experienced Data Engineer with Azure and SQL DB capabilities. This role will include working with a leading solution using data from internal & external sources to ensure the organisations competitive edge.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable using Azure DevOps for code, development management, SSIS, and ADF preferably.
Roles & Responsibilities:
·Use data from internal & external sources to provide the company with a competitive edge
·Maintain existing / develop new solutions to maximize the utility of data within the business
·Hands-on full lifecycle understanding of requirements and delivery of reports and dashboards
·Understand and document new and existing data requirements
·Proactively identify opportunities for data quality improvements
·Manage the relationship with stakeholders and users of the data
·Work with the development team to contribute to project delivery, review T-SQL code and
·Process large data sets/forecasting
·Additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business
Essential Skills & Experience:
·SQL (Apply online only) / Azure SQL DB
·SSIS & Azure Data Factory
·Analysis Services Tabular
·Git/Azure DevOps
·Power Platform (Power BI On-premise and embedded service / Powerapps /Power Automate)
·Self-starter - will lead and provide the energy to get projects delivered.
·Capable of working on multiple new and mature projects simultaneously.
·Strong T-SQL skills. Confident with advanced functions and complex datasets from transactional and batch sources.
·Understanding of data flows and lineage and able to implement these using SSIS/ADF ETL tools
·Strong analytical skills - Analysing financial data, models etc.
Package:
·£65,000 per year with up to 25% bonus
