Immediate Start
£50k - £70k Annual
Full-Time
Senior Software Engineer
Remote - 2 days per month onsite in the North West.
Up to £70,000
We’re on the hunt for a Senior Software Engineer to help us deliver this transformation, building highly scalable and reliable services as part of a highly skilled cross-discipline team. There’ll be no shortage of opportunity to add value as we build out our new products.
We take a “full stack” approach to engineering, which doesn’t just mean backend/frontend, it means finding people who are willing to step outside their core competencies and blur the traditional silo boundaries. Our engineers are able to work across the stack and across the delivery lifecycle. We recognise it’s unlikely anyone will be able to cover it all, but the best people know their own gaps and actively seek to fill them.
Working across the full stack with languages like C# .Net, SQL, React, jQuery, API, MVC, JavaScript/TypeScript and AWS, with opportunities to learn new languages and frameworks.
You'll need to love what you do, as this challenges you to push yourself to be the best. No two days are ever the same, so what you’ll be up to will vary. The pace we move at also means priorities will change and you’ll need to be comfortable with this (we’ll support you!). But these are the things that will be core to your role and will keep you busy.
The Day to Day:
Working with the Product Owner, Architect and rest of the team to define and refine the product backlog
Building microservices and serverless components
Defining suitable API specifications
Writing automated unit and integration tests
Building CI/CD pipelines to build/test/deploy services
Documentation
Owning services in Production and ensuring they are making our customers successful
Defining suitable monitoring and alerting for production services
Benefits:
5% Pension
Competitive Bonus Scheme
Regular pay reviews
Occasional Hackathons
Flexible working
Consistent training and upskilling
