Job Description: Refits Project Manager
My client is a creative, commercial and retail design company. They design, manufacture, and install retail stores and commercial spaces for some of the world’s largest sports and luxury brands.
They are expanding across several departments to fulfil business growth and are looking for additional project management expertise to join the team.
As a Refit Project Manager, you will be on hand to put everything in place to keep things running smoothly. You will plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of your specific projects in the fast-paced, dynamic world of retail store fit outs.
You will liaise with key relationships throughout, ensuring that projects are being delivered to the highest of standards.
Role overview:
* Responsible for the deployment of display fixture and navigational signage systems to retail store interior refit projects.
* Management of end-to-end processes from receipt of approved layout design, determining scope of works and sourcing new or stock parts, to the delivery, installation, quality management and sign-off.
Key accountabilities:
* Refit works are undertaken at night, you will be responsible for robust planning and effective briefing of site-based personnel to ensure smooth delivery of overnight works.
* Generate site-specific schedules to enable effective time management.
* Assess approved layout design drawings and create master fixture lists from which to generate briefs for key relationships.
* Generate project cost information for escalation through Project Finance Team.
* Liaise with internal Procurement and Production teams to ensure an on-schedule fulfilment of all requisite fixtures, fittings and components.
* Liaise with Warehousing Teams to ensure timely collation and dispatch of all requisite fixtures, fittings and components.
* Liaise with Site-based Personnel to brief-in and agree delivery and installation programmes.
* Attend critical site meetings to capture relevant information from Clients, Principal Contractors and to distribute information appropriately to internal key relationships.
* Ensuring the project is running on time, on budget and to a high standard.
Skills:
* Excellent communication, verbally and written.
* Managing relationships with consideration of end-to-end process and achievable objectives.
* Organisational ability with understanding of both micro and macro levels of detail.
* Structured approach to managing multiple projects at various stages.
* The ability to actively problem-solve, making informed, considered decisions.
* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
* IT skills; Proficient in the use of MS Office (Outlook, Excel etc) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Systems.
* The ability to work productively under pressure.
* Travel on occasion to suit project-driven milestones. Full Driving License required
