anzuk are working with a fantastic specialist school in Gloucestershire, who are looking for a full-time SEND Teacher to join their team.
The centre opened in September 2022 to cater for the huge demand for a nurturing provision for students that have a primary need of Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) and therefore are unable to thrive in mainstream provisions. All students will have an individualised Education Healthcare Plan (EHCP) and may have secondary needs such as Autism (ASC), Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Severe Trauma, Anxiety and attachment disorders.
They are now seeking a SEND Teacher for students of secondary school age (KS3 & KS4). There may, however, have been some gaps in education due to waiting for suitable placements or additional learning needs meaning their learning age is more in line with that of Primary age students. Therefore Primary and Secondary trained specialists will both be considered for this role.
The role of SEND Teacher:
Full-time, starting as soon as the right person becomes available
To work with individual students/ small groups of students across multiple subjects
You will be able to follow and plan lesson materials in accordance with a primary model of teaching
Focus on emotional coaching and learning
Liaising with other agencies including support workers, CAMHS and Safeguarding teams
Attending daily morning briefings Role Requirments:
Experience in Team Teach would be beneficial however training can be provided
A teaching qualification or HLTA experience
You will need to have empathy and understanding of each child's background and needs to create a safe learning environment
Previous experience with additional learning needs is ideal, specifically SEMH or ASC

Competitive rates of pay, we will pay to scale for this role from day 1
A friendly and supportive team of consultants to support you throughout
