Senior IT Support Engineer

A market leading company is searching for an experienced Senior IT Support Engineer to focus provide high level remote IT technical support with an focus on Microsoft and Public Cloud technologies. You will provide OS, Application and Hypervisor support to a range of customers, with responsibility for the resolution of incidents and problems. This is a great opportunity for someone from an infrastructure background to develop their skills in public and private cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate rapid response to major incidents and problems
• Ensuring appropriate action is taken to resolve complex incidents
• Undertake post case analysis and inform all parties affected are engaged in delivery of resolution
• Develop process improvements and document post recovery steps to help identification of issues
• Take ownership in facilitating problem diagnosis
• Ensure all incidents are logged in the ITSM for data analysis

• Virtualisation; compute, storage.
• IaaS platforms.
• VMware stack
• Windows/Linux based guest operating systems.
• Active Directory Domain Services.
• Windows Server Update Services
• Network/storage protocols.
