Defect Manager

We are currently recruiting for an exciting new contract role for a rapidly expanding customer communications organisation. They offer innovative solutions which their excellent client base need in order to be passed down to their customers. The role is based in the Bristol office 5 days a week.

Looking for a Defect Manager to be responsible for the management, maintenance and control of all defects raised by the various testing and quality teams. The role will primarily focus on recording, triaging and managing the defects through to successful resolution within set timeframes.

Responsibilities include

• Ensuring all defects are entered correctly and controlled/managed effectively as possible
• Managing defects by ensuring the quality of the defect to provide teams adequate data and information to analyse and solve issues.
• Taking ownership of the defect workflow, ensuring they're recorded and prioritised correctly.
• Supporting the quality control team to ensure all physic documents are accurately stored and labelled in preparation for document comparison checking.

Skills and experience

• Knowledge in SDLC
• Exposure in Defect Management tools
• Experience managing a Defect management function
• Experience tracking and chasing defects through remote disparate across functional teams
• JIRA, TFS or any other relevant tools for defect management
