My client based in Chelmsford are looking to recruit an IT Support candidate for their growing business. This is a hands-on role that will predominately be 2nd line support with the option to get involved in 3rd line/infrastructure work too.

Responsibilities

• To remotely support IT systems to ensure maximum reliability
• To give advice to the business on how to maintain their IT systems
• To support school staff in making the best use of their IT systems
• To install IT equipment, within the contract limitations
• Will be required carry out other duties including hardware/software installation, helpdesk, and internal support
• Occasional 3rd line support
• To work to agreed targets and objectives
• To maintain the support desk, monitor the calls coming in, take ownership of tickets and see them through to completion.

Experience

• Proven 2nd line/desktop support experience
• Networking understanding
• An understanding of Servers
• Experienced technical engineer with hands on development and installations skills
• Experience with troubleshooting technical issues
• Experience with Windows 10 and Windows Server 2019/21.
• Windows Group Policy, Active Directory
• Good IT troubleshooting skills including LANs and printers
• Driver with a car
