Senior Software Developer

A well-established Tech Consultancy based in Scotland are on the lookout for a couple of skilled Senior Software Developers to join several of their Agile squads. They're offering the opportunity to work with a really modern tech stack (or even cross-train in something new), where you will be building really scalable greenfield solutions in a really fun and flexible work environment.
They've got a really busy pipeline of projects, really strong relationships with their long list of clients which spirals across multiple sectors (Fintech, Renewables, Oil & Gas, Public + many more!). It's a really unique environment where Developers can have a lot of choice in what projects they want to join and tech they want to work with - this is really highlighted with the tenure of many of their team, as many have been with the business for 5-10 years (it's really uncommon for someone to have a short-stint here!).
You'll find yourself joining one of their Agile squads (circa 6 Devs depending on the project) and usually you'll be with the project from its initial design straight through to its completion - so you'll really pick up good exposure to working on large-scale projects. The teams are also really well defined as each will usually have a Project Lead, Software Architect, Front End, Back End or Full Stack Developers, UX Specialists, Automation Engineers and DevOps Engineers - however there is plenty of scope to pick up exposure/experience in other areas, especially with DevOps for these roles.
What separates them from other consultancies is you'll never be offshored to their client, you'll work within the business at all times (either onsite or at home). They also have a pretty strict no-overtime policy, as they're massive on finding the right work-to-life balance - so fortunately no really tight-deadlines or working late into the night. On top of this, they offer really flexible working - they're a family first organisation so the school drop off/pick up or even mid-day nursery appointments are all fine here. Not to mention, the company run multiple events from guest speakers to even weekly lunch treats for the team!
They have offices in Glasgow City Centre, and offer really flexible working. They ideally hope people can pop in once or so a week for SPRINTS/Meetings/Tech events etc but are pretty flex. All interviews and on-boarding can be done remotely too.
Salary for these roles range from about £45k to £65k, with scope for a little more if someone impresses (even more for Lead). This is on-top of a fairly competitive benefits package which includes a £1k annual training allowance, good pension, loyal rewarding holiday scheme + many more.
If you match most of the criteria please apply or give Max at Cathcart a call.
