Site Manager (Construction)



Salary up to £40,000 + Benefits

Our client, a successful, well-established, growing civil engineering and road surfacing company, employing over 35 people are actively seeking an experienced Site Manager to join the team in Newport on a permanent basis. Working across sites in Cardiff and across to Newport the team mainly carries out the construction of roads, car parks, retaining walls, marine works, bridges, drainage and associated works. You will join a friendly and supportive team environment and our client is offering a healthy starting salary plus benefits package.

Working as a Site Manager you will;

  • Be responsible for the management of the construction site in order to achieve required project delivery, while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control.
  • You will deliver on-going projects, to the specified quality, the required programme and to the maximum commercial performance.
  • You will work closely with the Project Manager, engineers and surveyors to ensure that projects are completed in a safe manner whilst customer requirements and expectations are always maintained or exceeded.

In order to be considered for this Site Manager role you will;

  • Have a previous track record working as a Site Manager
  • Hold valid CSCS and SMSTS cards
  • BSc or BEng level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HNC/HND or the equivalent.
  • Deliver the work to the specified quality without defects.
  • Implementing Health & Safety procedures
  • Carrying out daily/Weekly reports to the project management
  • Supervision and planning of workload for the site teams
  • Mentoring other team members
  • Health and Safety Skills
