Service Support Worker - Telecare
Location: Home based (will cover service in Hertfordshire and will require travel within the area)
Contract type: Fixed Term until 31st of March 2021
Hours per week: 24 (6 hours on call per shift, 12 week rolling rota, 24 hour service)
Salary: GBP 15,000 pro rata (GBP 8.24 per hour, + GBP 1.80 additional allowance when called out)

If you love helping people in need, looking for a rewarding role or to kick start your career in Health and Social Care sector this position might be for you! We are looking for an individual who loves helping people in need to join our fantastic Independent Living (IL) team in Hertfordshire.
The Hertfordshire Telecare Service supports almost 4,000 people in Hertfordshire to live more independently in their own homes. Telecare systems use discreet sensors in the home to automatically call for help in the event of an emergency, such as a fall. Users can also press the button on a pendant worn on the wrist or around the neck to call for help.
You will be joining a team of 15 staff who work on a fixed 12 week rota basis who are responsible for attending call outs to older and or vulnerable people in Hertfordshire when their Telecare equipment is triggered. The service provides a rapid response to people who do not have family/friends who live nearby or whose family cannot be contacted in the event of the Telecare equipment being activated

Also, you should be the following:
- Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent by experience)
- IT literate
- Full driving licence holder and access to own vehicle
- Have a good knowledge of services provided by the NHS and Social Care
