Role: Senior Power Electronics (DC/DC) Engineer

Location: 2-3 days in office per week in Warwick but they have people from Yorkshire, Oxford, Essex working with them and working remote!

Salary: £60- £80k depending on experience + Share options

The ideal person:

• What we really want is someone who can roll their sleeves up and drive the design of some high power (60 to 360+ kW) DCDC converters.
• Someone with equivalent Inverter design experience would also be suitable.
• We have a very good electronics/control systems manager, and a good DCDC engineer But we have some big projects coming up in this area so need to bolster the team with some experience.

The role:

As part of the Software and Electronics department you will be instrumental in the design, development and testing of power electronics, primarily high power DCDCs.

We're a young start-up, so suitable candidates will be up for a challenge and won't be put off by a few moving goalposts.

Key Skills:

• High power DCDC or Inverter design experience (KW)
• Relevant Electronics Degree or significant industry experience

Desirable Knowledge and Experience:

• HV battery systems
• Brushless DC Motor drives
• C programming and MatLab/Simulink experience
• FCEV experience
• PCB layout, Altium experience would be beneficial
• Designing for EMC & Automotive electronics
• Functional Safety/ISO26262
• Experience of either SPICE, PLECS, SIMSCAPE, PSIM
