Business Analyst

Mentmore are currently recruiting for a general IT Business Analyst for our client, a leading retailer, who are undertaking a large-scale project. They are looking to bring on board an experienced Business Analyst with extensive experience of Waterfall and Agile development and implementation of applications systems.

Note: Must have wide IT project knowledge across areas such as infrastructure, networks, payments, ePos systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible to analyse IT team capabilities and business existing processes, models and strategies.
• Help to design, build and implement new technical solutions across the business.
• You will be responsible for the business analysis, design, testing, documentation and implementation of application systems.
• Work across both Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Work across a wide range of IT project (Infrastructure, Networks, ePos systems, Payments etc.)
• Support all areas of the business, ensuring that key IT projects and initiatives are implemented.
• Ensure design aligns to the original objectives of all projects.
• You will be involved in system development and work closely with technical architecture.
• Enhance exciting business processes and support with system migrations, upgrades and implementation.

Required skills:

• Significant Business Analyst experience in similar or IT related function.
• Excellent understanding of business objectives.
• Experience of Waterfall and Agile development environments.
• Wide IT project knowledge across various areas such as infrastructure, networks, payments, ePos systems etc.
• Stakeholder management
• Strong analysis and business system design skills.
• Ability to create reports and dashboards using various databases such as SQL etc.
• Problem solver and critical thinker.
• Industry background: Retail, Travel, Hospitality or similar.
