Job Title: Information Security Project Manager

Location: Oxfordshire (Hybrid 2days on site)

Duration: 6 months (FTC)

Salary: £70,000

My client is looking for Information Security Project Manager to join their business on a 6 month contract. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget, and with the anticipated level of business benefit. You will be the single point of contact for the business and IT management teams related to change driven by the Information Security programme - ensuring that the aims and progress are understood, standards are followed and quality is consistently high.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the iterative development of plans to support Information Security strategy
  • Participate in business & budget planning processes
  • Support a continuous improvement culture across Business & IT Teams

Full project life cycle management for all workstreams, including:

  • Oversee Supplier selection processes, facilitate contract negotiation and ensure effective service design and transition
  • Ensure solution design approval, and resulting products are secure, stable and well supported
  • Manage delivery of all projects, including managing multiple 3rd party delivered solutions
  • Transition of newly implemented change to appropriate Business/Technical support
  • Manage status reporting of projects to Project and Steering Boards
  • Controls (managed through standard governance process):
  • Milestone plan for workstreams and projects,
  • Success Criteria/Benefits Case,
  • Budget Management,
  • Risks, Issues, Actions & Decisions

Quality Assurance/Standards

  • Full system and user testing, signed off prior to implementation
  • Complete quality assurance reviews to monitor the quality of project deliverables and reporting
  • Maintain project methodologies, to ensure a consistent use of processes and practices

Technical Specification:

Extremely strong project management and change management background with a demonstrable track record of operating effectively in a dynamic, fast paced, challenging and delivery focused Project/Programme environments containing blended teams (eg permanent, contract, vendor, SI, Business/IT/operational teams, offshore).

Essential competency/experience:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in project management, at least 2 of which are leading complex business change programmes
  • Able to demonstrate experience of project delivery
  • Formal project management qualifications
  • A thorough understanding of all different aspects of project management, and can explain and direct others to deliver these
  • Experience of reporting into steering group level
  • Extremely well organised, detail oriented when dealing with complex business change
  • Confident, driven and have a strong determination to succeed
  • Excellent financial management

Desirable competency/experience:

  • Relevant experience managing Information Security projects
  • Certified in Agile/Scrum techniques
  • A good understanding of cyber security and system support
  • Understanding of IT Infrastructure and Cyber Security tools and technologies
