Systems Engineer - Linux - Vmware - AWS

£60,000-£80,000

Hybrid - one day per week in Watford

As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient systems, as well as troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise. You should have a strong understanding of cloud technologies and be comfortable working with virtualization software.

Our client is currently working to bring their IT back in-house and are building out their systems engineering and DevOps teams. This individual will ideally have a background as a Linux Systems Administrator, and can set up AWS and VMware Servers on Linux.

Requirements:

• Ubuntu or Debian experience preferred
• AWS - EC2 and RDS
• VMware
• Docker, Ansible, Terraform, Apache experience
• Experience working with monitoring tools

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to get involved and lead infrastructure improvement and remediation projects. Ideally you will have had a focus on security previously, using SIEM and IAAC.
