Senior Embedded Software Engineer/Team Leader

My US based client is currently looking for a fully remote Senior Embedded Software Engineer to come on board on an initial 6-month contract.

The client is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer who has some experience of working as a Team Leader.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of the C programming language in an Embedded software context
• Good understanding of the Linux Kernel, debugging, as well as related tool chains
• Proficiency in packet processing
• A knack for code optimization techniques and testing automation
• Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP, UDP, sockets, encapsulation)
• In-depth knowledge of multi-thread, multi-tasking software capabilities and constraints
• Experience in running Linux on Embedded processors
• Outstanding technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in collaborative groups, solving complex problems

Required Experience:

• Graduate degree in CS, Computer, Physics or Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent
• 7+ years hands-on software development or relevant experience
• 5+ years of relevant experience in many of these areas:
  • Embedded software production and deployment life cycle
  • Network protocols
  • Routing protocols
  • Packet processing
  • Familiarity with LTE/5G mobile technologies as well as Wi-Fi technologies
