UX/UI Designer - Contract

About the UX/UI Designer role:

A UX/UI Designer is required to take on a key role within the UX/UI team of a market-leading, customer-centric organisation. Working on internal and customer-facing websites and applications, the Senior UX Designer will take on a senior/lead role in the team, being actively involved in day-to-day design, as well as longer term planning and decision making.

Joining a squad made up of UI Designers, UX Researchers, Content Designers, and Product Managers, the Senior UX Designer will demonstrate their strong hands-on design experience, as well as the ability to engage with and influence key stakeholders, making changes at the core of the design process.

Senior UX Designer- Key Requirements:

• Significant previous experience working in dedicated UX Designer role
• Strong UI (User Interface) Design experience
• Experience working in fast-paced, project driven environments
• Strong technical design skills, eg Sketch, Axure, Figma, Zeplin, etc.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to hit the ground running, with an adaptable approach
• Experience working at a senior/lead level, contributing to UX Architecture would be beneficial
• Any experience working in retail/eCommerce/omni-channel environments would be a plus

This position will be based from the client's head office in Leeds, but the expectation is that this role can be primarily remote/home-based, with the need to travel to the office just 1 day per week.
