Technical Author - Pioneering Market Leader in the provision of Educational Services - Manchester to £50k!

Prestigious opportunity for a Technical Author with a Market Leader in the provision of Educational Services to clients across the UK and overseas. Providing technology-based solutions for clients and working with third party suppliers to develop bespoke solutions, this is a newly created role due to expansion within the technology team.

As our Technical Author you will be responsible for:-

• Acting as in-house technical writer supporting technology-based projects, bids and strategic developments.
• Working with colleagues across the company to understand existing and emerging processes, systems and software which require documentation.
• Designing, writing and producing technical documentation for internal and external end users, including user guides, instruction manuals, process guides, training guides, instructional videos, online help, technical elements of proposals.
• Supporting the production of bids for upcoming projects
• Documenting changes made to existing software.

If you possess a combination of some of the following skills, then LETS TALK!

• Previous experience as a Technical Author.
• Excellent standard of written English.
• Understanding of UX/UI best practices and terminology.
• Proofreading skills - demonstrating great attention to textual detail, identifying the smallest errors and inconsistencies.
• A demonstrable understanding of educational assessment would be advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both technical and non-technical terms.
