Location: London (hybrid - 3 days per week office based)

Permanent position

My client, an investment management firm, are looking for a Developer for this varied and interesting role. You'll work collaboratively on the design, build, maintenance and implementation of the IT infrastructure platform and business application suite.

Main Responsibilities: Developer

• Development and programming - develop solutions using the appropriate technology. Solutions may involve creating new applications, amending existing in-house applications or customising 3rd party software
• Work closely with the IT business analysts and users to identify and understand business requirements
• Work closely with the project team to build and follow project plans to ensure project objectives are delivered
• Assess critical gaps and provide recommendations
• Systems Testing
• Produce documentation including status reports, manuals, record incidents
• Business Application Support - ensure continuous operation of all core investment systems

Requirements: Developer

• Over 3 years' experience in a similar role
• Numerate and STEM degree
• MS SQL Server 2008/2016/2019
• SQL querying and development
• .Net C# applications development with knowledge of WPF/WCF
• Knowledge of the full software development life cycle
• Experience of writing in Scripting languages (Python, Powershell, Batch)
• Prior experience of financial software is not essential.
