IT Technician

Bradford - IT Technician - 2nd Line - Full time - temp to perm - £26,000

We are currently recruiting for an IT Technician for our educational public sector client organisation based in Bradford. This role is initially offered on a 12-week temporary contract, which will then be extended to a permanent position.

Your new role

In your role as IT Technician, you will be working to identify, diagnose and resolve IT related problems, whilst supporting the installation and configuration of IT projects. You will have relevant technical knowledge relating to IT software, hardware and infrastructure.

In your role you will be undertaking the maintenance of IT equipment and providing advice and support to IT users. You will be using the necessary tools to provide and assists in the running of the Trust IT service so that a responsive, capable, and efficient service is provided to all users. This is a second line level position.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience of the installation, maintenance, and repair of IT equipment
• Experience of working within a school, college or educational trust is highly advantageous.
• Ability to demonstrate and train the use of equipment and software to pupils and teachers in classrooms
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Good working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice/legislation
• Ability to contribute to the effectiveness of the ICT team as a whole
• Second line level
• Any knowledge of networking and AV is highly advantageous.
