PHP Technical Lead

PHP, Laravel, APIs, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript - Global FinTech

Outstanding opportunity to join this global FinTech business on a permanent basis in a PHP Technical Team Lead capacity. The business is a leader in providing market data for the investment and fund management industry, delivered through a sophisticated cloud platform. We're looking for an experienced, senior, full stack PHP developer to technically lead and team lead a small PHP development team who are focused on specific investment applications.

You'll require the following skills and experience:

Expert knowledge of PHP & Laravel in a technical lead or senior developer capacity

Experience team leading and mentoring junior and mid-level developers (inc. code reviews)

5+ years' experience in web technologies including JSON/XML, WebAPIs, RESTful APIs

5+ years of experience with MySQL

5+ years of HTML, CSS and JavaScript

5+ years Agile experience (Scrum)

Experience in Azure based development and delivery

Expert knowledge on Service Oriented Architecture

Good experience in Git source control management

Demonstrable ability to write clean, structured, maintainable code

Deep understanding of object-oriented design principles and patterns

Expert experience with unit test automations and/or code analysis techniques

Expert understanding of development & release tooling (ie Azure DevOps)

Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

£80k-£100k basic + bonus + benefits. Newport (South Wales), 90% remote working
