Senior Network Engineer

My client is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Network Engineer to manage the operation and control of the IT Network Infrastructure typically hardware, infrastructure system software and all equipment relating to both local and wide area networks.

As Senior Network Engineer, you will:

Take the lead in design, development, implementation and upgrades of the network infrastructure - both wired and wireless
Undertake supplier relationship and procurement
Provide high level technical expertise, advice and guidance
Undertake continual system improvement and mitigate risk
Proactively monitor security of the networks to detect breaches
Keep detailed records of network incidents
Deliver a network testing service
Use network management tools to monitor availability, network performance and security
Identify operational problems and contribute to resolution
Manage the day to day support and administration of the network components
Identify and document network components
Be involved in the change management process

Technically, the Senior Network Engineer will possess in depth network management expertise.
This will include core and edge Switches, layer 2 and 3 routing along with network segmentation and DMZ design. Knowledge of wireless networks and protocols is necessary and exposure to HP Aruba and Aruba Clearpass would be highly advantageous.
