Senior Java Developer - Inside IR35 - 6 months - £550-£575 per day - hybrid working (1/2 days per week in Leeds)

Harvey Nash has been engaged by a well-known organisation in Leeds to recruit a Senior Java Developer on an initial 6-month contract. This contract is Inside IR35 and will require a mix of onsite and remote work. As the Senior Java Developer, you will work closely with various stakeholders to interpret business requirements and deliver high quality, customer focused technical solutions. Our client is looking for a Senior Java Developer to embrace working with a wide range of technologies, including but not limited to Java, Scala, ReactJS, NodeJS, Docker, and Kubernetes. You will utilise pair-programming on a regular basis and mentor less experienced developers where appropriate.

Essential.
Experience in Java and Scala Development. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Advocate of TDD and BDD practices. Experience of OO development and design patterns. Experience of software development for high capacity, high traffic, high availability websites. A passion for Agile methodologies and concepts such as Scrum, XP, Lean, and Kanban. Familiarity with Front End web technologies, for example ReactJS, is desirable.
