M365 Engineer

M365 Engineer, Midlands, £60k + 10% Bonus
As part of this Modern Workplace role, you will be involved in creating, maintaining and supporting M365 solutions for enterprise clients and forming strong relationships with the client. Given the nature of our clients Managed Service clients and sectors you will ideally already be SC cleared.
Furthermore, you will:
- Work with the Solution Leads for the Microsoft Platform M365
- Lead a small team of engineers and be able to demonstrate previous experience of managing junior EUC engineers
- Technical administration and advisory for M365 services
- Have working knowledge of Config Manager (SCCM) and experience in a co-managed environment
- A solid understanding and practical experience of Active Directory & Azure AD
- Have previous experience of Microsoft Intune, AutoPilot and co-management
- Be versed in Microsoft security products and features, recommending the appropriate usage and configuration of them
- Advise best practice for the Microsoft stack, specifically M365 core components
- Take part in pre-issue/post-issue peer reviews, utilising your expertise and up-to-date knowledge to advise on remediation plans
- Organise the implementation through constant improvement of information systems, data handing, processes/procedures, organisation and equipment
- Utilise your excellent communication skills to interface with the client and internal customers
- Ensure you develop yourself through offered training and collaborative forums to stay up-to-date with emerging Microsoft capabilities to ensure you're offering nothing short of excellence
As a Modern Workplace Engineer for M365, you will be responsible for contribution to design and implementation of the M365 suite. A particular focus on Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint online and OneDrive technical configuration and management.
The role will involve working across our Managed Services clients whilst supporting, coaching and developing junior members of the Workplace Team.
Other responsibilities will include:
Provide our diverse range of customers with agnostic, industry-leading advice, and expertise to help them select the right technology solutions and make the most of them
Assist with enhanced user experiences and digital workspace transformation projects
Act as a senior engineer within the Workplace team
Produce high quality technical documentation and support solution leads with design input
Support the smooth handover of projects as part of a delivery team and acting as an escalation point
Explain and promote the features and benefits of solutions to internal and external customers
What you'll need:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience across Azure and M365 coupled with a relevant background in End User Compute
- Demonstrable technical understanding of multiple aspects of M365, examples include:
- Teams, Intune, M365, Power Shell etc.
- Knowledge of the advantages and capabilities of the Microsoft Cloud Platform
- Experience contributing to designs and managing change
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK as required
- Must be an excellent team player
- Excellent documentation skills are mandatory
- Highly committed, motivated and self starter - must be able to give himself/herself directions rather than waiting for a steer from above
- Ability to work with a diverse group of technically experienced resources
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
