Lead Sitecore Developer

Sitecore Web Development Lead opportunity to join a Travel Technology company, based in London and internationally - You can work fully remotely (in the UK).
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, and working in partnership with our Applications Development Manager, the Sitecore Web Development Lead will take ownership for leading web development at the Business. This is inclusive of ensuring optimum site functionality and design - rearchitecting website platforms, interpreting business requirements and building them into working solutions, and delivering and reviewing code that is well-tested, error free, and of the highest quality.
Sitecore Web Development Lead - up to £90,000 + up to 40% Bonus (Total Package available £120,000)
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for key site functionality and input into new technical design
- Understand and practice coding standards and recommending/implementing new technologies
- Engage with stakeholders when required to further detail initial requirements
- Deliver code which is well tested and consistently error free
- Reviewing user stories and defining acceptance tests
- Code review and support other team member's work
- Be part of a team of software developers' team
- Keep up to date with the latest software development technologies and methodologies
- Interpret business requirements and build them into working solutions
- Planning and coordinating UAT activities
Essential knowledge
- Experience and sizable knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Strong knowledge of ASP .NET framework and Sitecore 9
- Strong understanding of Apache Solr
- Azure Cloud knowledge
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
- Good understanding of Back End integrations and API development
- Strong understand of relational databases such as SQL
- DevOps/Git
- Automation experience for web apps
- Good understanding of agile & other testing methodologies
- Good understanding of Web Performance and Optimisation
Nice to Have, but not Essential
- Experience in working with infrastructure as code and configuration management
- Understand of test automation and testing approaches
- Knowledge of using browser stack
- knowledge of a framework such as React, Node js
- Experience working with SEO Tools such as GA, Screaming Frog
