Lead Java Developer - Contract - Central London - ASAP Start

Lead Java developer required for a large global financial services organisation based in Central London on a contract basis working on trading tools and developing the clients risk technology code.

Role:

• Design, develop, and build the trading infrastructure
• Build testing strategies, finding ways to improve systems, procedures, and monitoring
• Support junior members of the team by providing leadership and guidance
• Carry out tasks in a cross functional team working flexibly on client needs

Key Experience:

• Multithreading (Required)
• Understanding of Concurency, Cache, and Performance Tuning (Required)
• Credit Risk/Market Risk Exposure (Required)
• Cloud Environment: OpenShift, IBM, AWS, or Azure (Required)
• 5+ year's experience working as a Java Developer
• Previous experience working an investment bank/asset management firm
• Agile working environment (Desirable)
• Kafka or Solace (Very desirable)

Education: Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer science, Financial Engineering, Physics, Engineering or Mathematics, FRM, or CFA.
