Your new company
Hays Technology are recruiting two Software Development Team Leaders for a large public sector organisation in York. This is a permanent position and offers hybrid working. You will also have between 2 and 6 direct reports.

Your new role
As a Software Development Team Leader, you will be co-leading a team that develops web applications and integrates business systems across all areas of the organisations activity. Your primary focus is to provide technical leadership and line management to developers who are working on new projects and supporting existing services. You will also be taking on a hands-on development role and to work collaboratively to define common approaches to application development and integration.

Within your role, you will be developing the teams' adoption of agile ways of working alongside, Product Owners, Project Managers, and Bas. You will be successful in supporting teams to adopt new tools and approaches to development and continue to change as the organisation look to migrate their services over to AWS.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience coding in a modern programming language, using modern software development practices
• Knowledge of web technologies and an appreciation for different software architectures
• Experience managing/leading a team
• Experience with the following tech stack: AWS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node, React, GitHub
• Working knowledge of Oracle DBA, Grails, ColdFusion
• Strong stakeholder management skills
