Your new company
Hays Technology are recruiting a Network Engineer to join a large public sector organisation based in the Leeds area. You will be reporting to the ICT Network Support Manager and is hybrid working.

Your new role
In your new role you will be primarily responsible for providing technical support and maintenance across the organisation's existing network, applications, and services. You will be supporting around 5,000 devices across several different sites in the area. Within this role, you will be supporting the Network Support Management in all areas of Data and Voice communications', including technical support, fault finding, troubleshooting, systems administration, and documentation.

You will be expected to ensure that the wide variety of communication systems and services used by the organisation to achieve maximum operational availability. The services and technologies that you will be supporting are routing and switching, unified communications and collaborations, security, and video conferencing. You will be carrying out research and development into technologies that will help the organisation meet the business needs and make presentations on how new technologies can benefit the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed

• 2 years' experience of working in a LAN/WAN and telephony environment
• Knowledge and experience of CISCO
• Good understanding of the IP Addressing, DNS/DHCP, and general TCP/IP protocol suite
• Experience of configuring and troubleshooting Firewalls
• Use of network management software/tools
• CCNA Certification
• Driving license and car owner
