Infrastructure Engineer (IT) London (Canary Wharf)/Remote working
We are a not for profit public-private partnership, focused on industrialised sharing of information across its members within the financial sector. The information is turned into actionable intelligence for industry to prevent cyber crime/threats in their organisation. We turn actionable intelligence for law enforcement so that it can be used to open an investigation and in turn lead to attribution.
Main function of the job
Reporting to IT management, you will be working as part of a small close-knit team across the organisation and its members. Supporting the delivery of the business's IT strategy and services.
Main duties and responsibilities
Daily Tasks
- Ensure that systems, processes, and methodologies are maintained, followed to ensure effective monitoring, control and support of service delivery.
- Complete support tickets.
- Security Patching and antivirus updates
- Plan and implement upgrades needed to maintain service levels working with external partners.
- Conduct testing and analysis of all components of network and server infrastructure components.
- Active Directory, GPO, Azure administration
- Fault Diagnostics/Investigate and Repair/Resolve Common problem with desktop PC's, laptops, Servers, and peripheral devices such as Printers and Scanners.
- New Workstation and Server builds using our standards (Windows/Linux).
- Manage internal and external change Requests.
- Participate in DR/BCM tests.
- Basic power Shell.
- Perform any other duties as may be required from time to time.
- Working within a mix of windows and Linux server environments both Cloud/On premise
The above isn't an exhausted list, as well as working in a small team you will also be working alongside one of our IT partners delivering various aspects of support to the business and some facets may be hands-off just overseeing delivery.
You need to be a people person along with good all-round soft skills as you will be interacting with different parts of the business on a daily basis. You should have a can-do, will-do attitude, be able to prioritise tasks and remain calm and collective when under pressure.
A keen interest in Cyber Security would be an advantage as you will learning a lot in this area. we are an equal opportunities employer and doesn't discriminate on any grounds.

- 3 years + experience in a similar role
- MS Active Directory
- Microsoft Server 2016 - 2019
- Exchange Servers 2016 - 2019
- 365/Azure/Cloud Computing
- Linux workstations and Servers (Ubuntu/Debian)
Desirable
- Microsoft Certification MCSE
- Linux +
- Cisco CCNA
