We are heading up a recruitment drive on behalf of a global IT consultancy that require a XXX to join their team on a major government project that is based remotely.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The role objectives are to:

Analyse an existing Solaris 10 platform to determine an approach workload consolidation approach and work with the architect and project manager to develop a project plan
define technical packages to consolidate the Solaris 10 environment and liberate spare hardware
Define technical approach to migrate Solaris virtual workloads from old to new Data Centre
Support the architect in creating a design for a new Solaris 10 platform (build from equipment liberated by the consolidation)
Build the new Solaris 10 platform in the new data centre
Migrate the virtual Solaris workloads from the old to new data centres
