Telecommunications Engineer

Telco Engineer require by my city based client.

As a strong experienced Legacy engineer you will be working on TDM technologies and be integral in the move into the next era.

The purpose of the role is to carry out the maintenance, installation and commissioning of all systems supplied, effectively and efficiently, to both customer and company's satisfaction based on Legacy technologies and private wires.

YOU MUST have Carrier experience and be able to display a knowledge of TDM troubleshooting issues.

You will be employed to provide the customers with a first-class service in relation to any maintenance and support agreements.

You will direct, own and effectively manage faults, issues and high scale problems within the Network space and also be given the opportunity to learn and train as technology moves into a new era.

Telecoms experience a must with the ability to troubleshoot private wire issues and provide accurate documentation.

Experience
An understanding of Telecoms/Networking principles essential.
Achieved a recognised industry standard qualification

Main Responsibilities
o Act as Tier 2-4 Ops for carrier issues
o Troubleshoot private wire issues and provide accurate ticket documentation
o To carry out callouts, service, and maintenance activities.
o To carry out minor shifts, moves and additions activities.
o To carry out installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
o Accurately update network documents and diagrams when necessary.
o Provide - Ready for Business- checks and network health checks to ensure network uptime.
o To liaise with and establish a good working relationship with customers and their representatives.
o To be aware of the functions of and liaise with other departments to ensure the efficient operation of U.S. Operations.
o To give support and technical assistance to other departments as required.
o To expand your knowledge, both technical and non-technical, of equipment and the business environment in which they are deployed.
o To bring to the Network Engineering and Ops Manager's attention any matter, technical or otherwise, that changes or could affect timescales or costs.

Skills
- Some of the tech components Legacy, DNX Servers, Envision +, Nagios Monitoring/Alerts, Cisco
- Good understanding of trader voice lines and troubleshooting
