Overview:

The UK Software Enterprise Support team maintains and supports Hosted Services simplifying control room IT management and reducing risk with ongoing enhanced communication functionality to meet the needs of the UK's emergency services.

Job Description

Please note this role will be hybrid with home and some office working at the Glasgow office. Operating an on-call rota every 3 weeks, and will include an on-call allowance.

Key responsibilities:

Provide incident investigation to enable incident resolution, ensuring that incidents are handled according to agreed procedures.

Investigate causes of incidents and seeks resolution. Escalate unresolved incidents. Facilitate recovery.

Investigate escalated, non-routine and high-impact incidents to responsible service owners and seeks resolution

Provisions/installs, configures, and maintains infrastructure services and components. Monitors, measures and reports on infrastructure load, performance, and security events.

Identify operational issues and contribute to their resolution. Carry out agreed operational procedures, including backup/restore.

Skills Required:

Minimum 5 years experience

VMWare

Microsoft Servers

ISS (web hosting)

Strong problem- solving skills

Incident/Mgt support experience

NSX (Desirable)
