Java Developer/Backend Software Engineer.Hybrid WFH* to £100k+

Are you a highly skilled Java Developer with low latency experience? You could be progressing your career at a global Investment Bank; you will join a small, highly talented Agile team of software developers responsible for the banks' FX trading platform.

The global platform is relatively new and operates out of London, New York and Hong Kong; there are several upcoming projects mainly on trade booking services and a major upgrade of the Front Office trading system.

Your role:

As a Java Developer you will design and develop Front Office trading systems, liaising with users and analysts to understand the business; develop to specifications; assist in coordinated testing and aid in the deployment and post deployment support of the solution developed. There's a range of technical challenges; you'll be focussing on low latency system optimisation.

WFH Policy:

Following a remote interview process you'll be able to work from home most of the time, meeting up with colleagues in the London office around once or twice a week.

Requirements:

• You have strong core Java development skills including concurrency and multi-threading
• You have experience of low latency, high throughput, globally distributed systems (doesn't have to be within finance eg games, telcos)
• You're an advocate of Agile development methodologies, TDD
• You have excellent communication and collaboration skills
• You also have experience with messaging technologies such as JMS, MQ, Tibco, 29West; have a good knowledge of Linux and have an understanding of Oracle or Sybase RDBMS
